Baby Update

I went to the doctor yesterday. The doctor was rather surprised to see me since she was sure I would have had the baby by now. I thought it would be here by now, too. I'm still 3cm (I was the same last week), baby's head is really low, etc. So she told me she expects Baby to come any day now. But, just in case, she decided that it would be good to have a back-up plan. So she decided we should schedule an induction. She wanted to do it next Friday, August 21, so I went to get it set up only to find out they were already booked for that day. So we set it up for Monday the 24th. BUT I got a phone call this morning that they have an opening for Friday the 21st now, so I will be having the baby within the week!!! Exciting and scary at the same time!

After they called to change the date for the induction, I wrote it down along with the time. Mark read it and came down asking if it meant 7 am or pm. When I responded am, he groaned and asked if it could be moved. Mark is SO not a morning person. When I mentioned that the baby could come ANY time day or night before then, he responded, "it's okay if God plans for it to come in the night, but I don't like it when the hospital plans it then". Oh dear.

After hearing Hope talk about her "baby sister" for 8 months, the last 2 days, she decided we should "bring home a boy"..... because we don't have any at our house. (I then reminded her that daddy is a boy).
