God is so good!

So this weekend, my mom and I headed to Palm Springs for a softball tournament. It was great- many of the top college softball teams and the Olympic team were there. I got into college softball a few years ago while watching it on TV. I really enjoy it now. We decided to drive back and forth since it is only about a 2 hour drive. So Friday was fine, we made it there and had a great day watching games. The drive home was rough because it was really windy part of the time. Like I felt like we were on ice- I had NO control over the car. We also hit some rainy spots and some construction. I don't like driving at night to begin with, so I was a little freaked out, but we made it home okay. So like 6 hours later, on Saturday, we head back. We have another great day of watching games. Then at like 10:30ish, we decide to head home. I start to back out of the parking spot and realize something is very wrong with the car. I get out and look- flat tire. Really flat. So I flip out a little bit then decide to go look for the police officers or someone who works there to see if someone could help. I did learn how to change a tire at one point in my life, but that was about 11 years and 2 cars ago. I couldn't find anyone, and lots of people were starting to leave the park, so I had to move my car because I had just left it in the middle of the parking lot. So I move it over to some empty spots. Then this guy was like pointing at our tire trying to tell us it was flat. So we told him we knew, we were just trying to figure out what to do. So he was like, "Well, I'm looking for my friends, but if I find them..." He was just kinda standing there looking at it. Then my mom was like, "Stop crying", because by this point I was having trouble holding myself together. It was late, I was 2 hours from home, I had virtually no sleep the night before, and I was already nervous about the drive home since I knew we had to go a different way. Evidently that helped him feel even sorrier for us, so he decided to just take a look. He ended up just changing the tire for us. When he showed us the tire, it was completely split over half of the way around the tire in two different spots. Honestly, I have NO idea how we made it there that morning. God HAD to have been looking out for us. It was scary to see how bad the tire was. So the guy changed the tire, and we were going to pay him and he was like, "No, God put me here for a reason". I couldn't have agreed more!! So then I just had to drive home on a donut tire, going the long way, in the middle of the night. He told us we shouldn't go over 60 mph, so it was an incredibly long ride home. Thankfully, my mom is a talker, so she was able to keep me pretty calm by talking to me the entire drive home. We made it home at like 1:40 in the morning, but we were safe. Then we had to go meet the realtor at 8:30 the next morning. Anyways, God was so good that we made it there safely, found it at the end of the day, so it didn't ruin any fun, in a well-lit crowded parking lot, sent someone to change the tire, and got us home safely.

I am so glad that you are back. I am glad that you made it home safe and sound after your flat tire. And that you were able to spend time with your parents. How fun that Hope and Grandpa are best friends. Emmalee and my dad were the same way. I hope you have luck house hunting, and hang in there on the job. Oh and have fun with the inlaws.
