Wild Animal Park

While his parents and grandparents were here, we took a trip to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Hope petting a deer like thingy.

There were a whole row of the deer like thingys, so Hope walked down the line giving each one a little pet. While she was petting the last one (pictured above), she might have let out a little scream (a happy scream though). Well, it startled the poor little animal. So the deer brought its legs up to its body, tackling Hope in the process. Needless to say, that was the end of our petting zoo time.

This is Hope with the lion. It was right up against the glass. I don't think I have ever been that close to a lion before. When Hope saw it, she looked at me, looked at the lion, then looked back at me and said, "cat?"

Hope with the flamingos.

Hope with the gorillas.
